I hope this message finds you well and filled with the same sense of pride and anticipation that I feel as we stand on the cusp of a new era for Michigan Men's Rowing.

As a proud alumnus, Class of 2007, I carry with me not just the skills and discipline I learned on the water, but also the invaluable friendships and memories forged during those transformative years. My journey from Argo Pond to the Olympic stage was a testament to the unwavering support and exceptional opportunity that this team gave me. It's a journey that speaks volumes about the spirit and potential that resides within this team.

Reflecting on the impact of UMRT in my life, I am reminded of the sense of unity and belonging that we all cherished. It was more than just a team; it was a family and a foundational part of our lives. I think I speak for all alumni when I say that this sense of community was instrumental in our individual and collective successes in rowing and beyond.

Looking ahead, the establishment of a permanent facility is not just a milestone; it's a transformative step towards solidifying the legacy and future of Michigan Men's Rowing. A dedicated space symbolizes more than just physical stability; it represents a commitment to excellence, a deepened sense of identity, and a beacon for future generations of rowers who will add their chapters to our shared history.

This facility will serve as a hub where camaraderie is fostered, champions are made, and lifelong friendships begin. It's an investment in the future, ensuring that the team will continue to achieve ever greater heights.

As we embark on this exciting venture, I invite you all to share in this journey, to contribute in whatever way you can, and to be part of the enduring legacy of the University of Michigan Men's Rowing Team. Together, let's build a home that mirrors the strength, determination, and spirit of every rower who has been, and will be, a part of this remarkable team.

Go Blue!
